From Nick:
As many or all of you may know, the first annual Nick H. Three Rivers Wild Turkey Ironman started Monday evening and was completed around 8 PM Tuesday. We had a great turnout, and were even lucky enough to have the NHTRWTI founder ride with us. I sincerely hope that you will all be able to join next year’s ride where T-shirts will be provided.
Photos from this year’s ride will be posted soon at www.peterchurch.com. (forthcoming)
A little background: The NHTEWT Ironman, founded in 2009, officially marks the beginning of the biking season in Minnesota. Held on the first nice day following the April new moon, know as the “seed moon” by pagan circles, the NHTRWTI involves a late night Wild Turkey whiskey bender of which Dave must be a part, followed immediately by a 100 mile bike ride from Brooklyn Park to Stillwater and back. Along the way participants witness the flowing waters of the powerful Mississippi, Minnesota, and St. Croix rivers, but what makes this ride really special is that it does not officially end until an actual wild turkey is spotted.
