Elsie’s over in Nordeast is having a great summer bowling bargain by offering a Summer Pass!

• Pass is good May 1st through August 31st

Ms. Commissioner and I will be climbing at Midwest Mountaineering on Saturday, March 21st.  We will begin climbing at 11:30am.  We’ll also be enjoying breakfast down the street at Acadia immediately beforehand– Acadia’s bottomless red beans and rice for $3.95 is a welcome bargain in budget-minded times.

Ironman

I just registered for the 2009 MN Ironman Bike Ride which will take place on April 26.  They have three ride lengths including a 100-mile ride.  Registration is $30.00.  I recommend this ride or another like it for completing your biking Challenge.  The route includes rest stops, food and drink, restrooms, bike mechanics, and a sag wagon for those who can’t complete the ride.

I think this will be one of the best opportunities to ride in a fully-supported ride.  Check out the site if you’re interested!

When I arrived at home today I found the March issue of the Lyndale Neighborhood News delivered to my door.  I was pleased to find my review of the new equipment and spaces at the Blaisdell YMCA published therein.
