That up-and-coming star Nick cranked out 15 good pull ups yesterday, bringing him within one point of the top spot!
The votes have been cast and tabulated, and I am here to announce that Nick will be the Commissioner of the 2010 Challenges.
I want to thank both Adrienne and Nick for running clean campaigns and for the Challengers who participated in the election!
Today, truly yours finished reading all 1141 pages of Stephen King’s complete and uncut version of The Stand. I also closed out the Culture category!
Truly yours,
Comm. C.
Truly yours made his singer/songwriter debut this night, performing an original song on guitar and vocals at the Southern Theater’s midnight experimental cabaret: Balls! Mark was in attendance and offered great support!
Balls is a weekly cabaret over on Washington Ave. near Town Hall and it is a great place to see and perform new works. Tonight we saw some storytellers, a three-piece band, a banjo player/singer, a poet/spoken word artist, comedians and a magician. I recommend checking it out some upcoming Saturday. I appreciate Balls for allowing me to perform.
Truly yours,
Comm. C.
From Nick:
“30 minutes ago I completed the “hike” challenge. Starting from my apartment, I made a circle around what the ancient Dakotan tribe of native americans considered the spiritual center of the universe–the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota rivers. My 7 hour journey brought me through both urban and forest jungles and connected me with the roots of this land we call our homes.
When I reached the “wall” around 15 miles in and was about to give up a Dakotan shaman visited me and gave me these words which I would like to pass on to the other challengers: “it is not how complete we are as challengers, but what we complete that matters.”
From Adrienne today:
“I have been published in the Minnesota Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention newsletter through the Minnesota Department of Health.”
Truly yours sang Herman’s Hermits’ “Mrs. Brown You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter” at the Lydale VFW last night. Mark was in attendance but postponed singing.
I bowled a 213 point game last night. Josh bowled ANOTHER 200+ game.
